Returns, Refunds & Exchanges
At Asteri Designs, we take great care in ensuring each piece meets our standards before it reaches you.
If you need to arrange a return or exchange, this policy outlines the process. For product-related faults or warranty enquiries, please refer to our warranty guidelines.
Nothing in this policy is intended to limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Return Requests
All return or exchange requests must be submitted and approved prior to sending any items back.
Products must not be returned until confirmation has been provided by our team. Items sent without approval may not be accepted.
Before Installation
We strongly recommend checking your items carefully upon delivery and before installation.
- Ensure the correct product has been supplied
- Confirm you are satisfied with the design, finish, and quality
- Check for any marks, damage, or imperfections
- Confirm all components are included (as per product instructions)
Once a product has been installed, it is considered accepted and cannot be returned for change of mind.
Installation & Electrical Requirements
All lighting must be installed by a licensed electrician.
We recommend testing all fittings and globes prior to installation.
Please note that we are not responsible for any labour costs associated with installation, removal, or reinstallation of products.
Any faults or damage caused by incorrect installation will not be covered under warranty.
Product Finish & Variations
Due to the nature of materials and finishes, slight variations in colour, texture, or appearance may occur.
Lighting conditions, surroundings, and installation environments can also affect how a product appears. These variations are considered normal and are not deemed faults.
Important Notes
- Returns for change of mind are not accepted once items have been installed
- All items must be returned in original condition and packaging (if approved)
- We reserve the right to assess all returned items before processing any outcome
Change of Mind Returns (7 Days)
At Asteri Designs, we understand that selections may change. We offer store credit on eligible items returned within 7 days of delivery, subject to the conditions below.
To be eligible:
- Items must be unused and not installed
- Products must be in original, re-saleable condition
- Original packaging must be intact and undamaged
All returns must be approved prior to being sent back.
Returns can be arranged via courier (at the customer’s expense) or by appointment where applicable.
Once received and inspected, an Asteri Designs store credit will be issued, less a 20% restocking fee to cover handling and processing.
Please Note
- Any customised or modified items (including changes to cord length, finishes, or fittings) are considered custom orders and are not eligible for return
- If packaging is damaged or not in re-saleable condition, an additional repackaging fee may apply
- Product finishes and colours may vary slightly due to materials and lighting conditions
- Items that have been installed are not eligible for return
- Change of mind requests submitted after 7 days of delivery will not be accepted
Damaged or Incorrect Items
If your order arrives damaged, faulty, or incomplete, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with photo evidence so we can assist promptly.
Warranty
All Asteri Designs lighting carries a minimum 12-month warranty when installed by a licensed electrician (globes excluded).
Warranty coverage begins from the original purchase date.
Please note:
- Installation, removal, or reinstallation costs are not covered
- Issues resulting from incorrect installation are not covered
Backorders
A 50% deposit is required to secure all backordered items.
Backorders may be cancelled; however, if cancelled after 7 days, the deposit is non-refundable.
Custom & Project Orders
Custom Orders
Custom pieces require a 50% non-refundable deposit at the time of order.
The remaining balance must be paid prior to dispatch.
Custom items are made specifically to order and are not eligible for return or refund due to change of mind.
Lead times are provided as a guide and may vary depending on production and approvals. Delays in confirming specifications may extend delivery timeframes.
Commercial / Trade Orders
Orders placed for projects, trade, or bulk supply (typically 10+ items or project-based orders) are considered commercial orders.
- A 50% non-refundable deposit is required
- Orders paid in full can be held for an agreed period
- Storage fees may apply to partially paid orders
Change of mind returns are not accepted for commercial or project orders.
Any product faults will be handled in accordance with warranty terms.
